Sahel facilitated a training workshop on Good Dairy Farming Practices for Extension Agents in the Federal Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development on 6th and 7th May 2019 under the Nigerian Dairy Development Program. About 40 extension agents across 13 states including the FCT benefitted from this workshop.
The objectives of the workshop were to:
- Provide clear guidelines to the Extension Agents in terms of communications and ways to facilitate and deliver effective training to dairy farmers.
- Train them on various dairy farming practices modules using videos and infographic brochures developed as part of the Nigerian Dairy Development Program (NDDP). As per your request, the Extension Agents will be expected to use these materials for onward training dissemination to dairy farmers in their places of assignment
Participants were provided with the training videos and brochures for the nine modules covered and also awarded certificates of completion at the end of the workshop.
