Project
Over the past years, Sahel has implemented several projects aimed at giving back to engaging the community where we work. Some of our projects include:
Covid-19 Preventive Items
Sahel provided Covid-19 preventive items and writing materials to students in three schools – Ikota Primary School, Lekki, Lagos; Ilasan Primary School, Jakande, Lagos; and Government Secondary School, Jabi in the Federal Capital Territory. Items donated include leg-operated hand wash stations, wall-mounted automatic dispensers, liquid soap, liquid hand sanitizer, nose covers, exercise books, and recycled pencils. This intervention is our response to ensure that students continue to learn in a safe and conducive environment.
Education Impact Project
- Partnering with the Lady Painter, Sahel renovated a seven-classroom block at Ikota Primary School, Lekki, ensuring that the students are provided with an improved learning environment.
- A little goes a long way: Sahel provided financial support to 8 outstanding students in select Primary and Secondary schools in Lagos and Abuja by sponsoring the student’s school fees for the academic year 2021- 2022.
Health Impact Project
- Sahel partnered with the St. Kizito Clinic in Lekki to provide critical health equipment to improve the services of the hospital. The team donated three otoscopes, two bag valve masks, four body mass index (BMI) machines and four blood pressure (BP) machines to the clinic.
- In 2021, Sahel partnered with Little Sisters of the Poor Home for the Elderly in Enugu state to renovate 5 rooms. In addition, Sahel also supported the home with food items for the residents.
Environment Impact Project
Sahel renovated the major drainage section at the Okobaba Destitute Camp, Ebute Metta, Lagos, donated mosquito nets and antibacterial soaps, conducted sanitation of the community area, and sensitized the community residents on safe hygienic practices.
