Ndidi Okonkwo Nwuneli (MFR)

Managing Partner

Mrs. Ndidi Okonkwo Nwuneli is an expert on African agriculture and nutrition, philanthropy, and social innovation. She has over 25 years of international development experience and is a recognized serial entrepreneur, author, public speaker, and consultant. Through her work in the private, public, and nonprofit sectors, she has led the design and execution of high-impact initiatives focused on policy, strategy, organizational design, ecosystem solutions, and growth.

Ndidi Nwuneli is the Managing Partner of Sahel Consulting Agriculture & Nutrition Ltd., which works across West Africa shaping agricultural policy, creating catalytic ventures, and implementing ecosystem solutions. She is also the co-founder of AACE Foods, which sources from over 10,000 farmers and produces a range of packaged spices, seasonings, and cereals for local and international markets. She is the founder of Nourishing Africa, a digital and knowledge platform of food and agriculture entrepreneurs and LEAP Africa which inspires, empowers, and equips a new cadre of principled, disciplined and dynamic young leaders in Africa.

Ndidi started her career as a management consultant with McKinsey & Company, working in their Chicago, New York and Johannesburg Offices. She holds an M.B.A. from Harvard Business School and an undergraduate degree with honors from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. She was a Senior Fellow at the Mossavar-Rahmani Center for Business & Government at the Harvard Kennedy School and an Aspen Institute New Voices Fellow.

Ndidi was recognized as a Young Global Leader and Schwab Social Innovator by the World Economic Forum and received a National Honor from the Nigerian Government. Ndidi serves on the boards of the Rockefeller Foundation, AGRA, Nigerian Breweries Plc. (Heineken), Godrej Consumer Products Ltd. India, Fairfax Africa Holdings Canada, BusinessDay Newspapers, Royal DSM Sustainability Board, Netherlands, and the African Philanthropy Forum.

Ndidi is the author of “Social Innovation in Africa: A Practical Guide for Scaling Impact,” published by Routledge. Her new book titled “Food Entrepreneurs in Africa: Scaling Resilient Agriculture Businesses” will be published by Routledge in 2020. She is a TED Global speaker and her work has been featured on CNN, BBC, and a range of international and local media outlets.

Temitope Adegoroye

Associate Partner

Temitope is an Associate Partner at Sahel Consulting where he is responsible for client engagement, project management and implementation. He is passionate about the agribusiness sector and has worked extensively across a broad range of value chains, with specific expertise on roots and tubers. He is proficient in market analysis, business strategy development, business sustainability, and project management.

Temitope has led several studies on agricultural policies and market entry strategies and implemented consulting projects in a range of priority areas including innovations in seed systems, mechanization, on-farm productivity enhancement and improved market access for agribusiness stakeholders.

Temitope holds an MBA from Lagos Business School, Pan Atlantic University, Nigeria. He also holds a Master of Science (MSc) in Agronomy from the University of Ibadan and received his undergraduate degree in Plant Science from the Obafemi Awolowo University, Ife.

Falaq Tidjani

Senior Manager

Falaq currently serves as a Senior Manager at Sahel Consulting, where she leads the company’s Strategy and Business Development Committee, manages strategy and implementation projects and partnerships.

At Sahel, her projects mainly focus on developing sustainable strategies for ecosystem stakeholders in the agriculture sector. With her 6 years’ experience, Falaq’s work spans across several West African countries including Benin Republic, Burkina Faso, Cote d’Ivoire, Ghana, Niger, Nigeria, and Senegal. Through her work in the private and development sectors, she has led the design, development, and implementation of high-impact initiatives focused on policies and strategies for businesses, governments and donor organizations that fostered catalytic investments in the food and nutrition landscapes.

She conducts strategic research, food markets mapping, industry and landscape analyses, and regional trade activities in West Africa for various organizations including: development organizations such as the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation (BMGF), the Global Alliance for Improved Nutrition (GAIN), IFDC; multinationals such as Royal DSM; research organizations such as World Vegetable Center and the Wageningen University Research, local private sector players such as Chi and Danone, and a host of other stakeholders.

She is passionate about social and economic sustainability, strengthening the African economic ecosystem and fostering growth through enterprise development and scaling.

Falaq is bi-lingual in English and French. She graduated with a bachelor’s with honors in Business Economics from Anglia Ruskin University, Cambridge, United Kingdom.

Chinedu Agbara, CFA

Manager

Chinedu has over six years work experience spanning roles in investment management, investment banking, corporate finance advisory, business development and management consulting. Chinedu has supported private agriculture company successfully tap the public debt market to raise capital. He is currently working on a cassava seed system project BASICS-II which aims to provide farmers with access to affordable, quality-assured seeds of the cassava varieties in demand by local food processor markets.

Chinedu holds an MSc in Advanced Finance from IE Business School Madrid and is a CFA Institute Charterholder.

Ifeoluwa Olorunnipa

Consultant

Ifeoluwa is a Consultant at Sahel Consulting Agriculture and Nutrition Limited where she is responsible for proposal development and program implementation. She has experience in business planning and strategy development and has supported the development of business plans and market entry strategies for seed companies in Nigeria. She also engages in research and data collection efforts on several projects, ensuring the collection and management of high-quality data.

Ifeoluwa is passionate about international development and has worked with global development and non-profit organizations in the areas of business development, program management, and implementation.

Ifeoluwa holds a Master of Public Affairs (MPA), with concentrations in International Development and Policy Analysis from Indiana University, Bloomington and an undergraduate degree in International Relations from Covenant University, Ota.

ICT Associate

Bolaji has over 8 years’ experience in Information Communication & Technology. He is currently the Information, Communication, and Technology (ICT) Associate at Sahel where he is responsible for ICT policy development, Graphic design, Network management, Social media management, Technical support, Video editing, and Website management. He is passionate about providing ICT services across projects in different sectors.

Prior to joining Sahel, Bolaji worked as an IT support officer with Skylinks Satellite Communications Limited; Digital Marketing Officer with Shixels Studios Limited; Digital Marketing Executive at Worldbay Technologies Limited. He also engaged in other freelance jobs related to IT.

Bolaji holds a BSc. in Economics from Babcock University; received his certificates in Desktop publishing, Network centered computing & Digital web authoring from NIIT; Web design & Microsoft certified professional (MCP) on windows from GNT; and Network Management from TTC Mobile; ITIL in IT Service Management from Axelos. He is also a graduate member of the Nigerian Institute of Management.

Ayodeji Ojo

Manager, Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning

Deji Ojo is a research and development practitioner with interest in livelihood opportunities, food security, nutrition, and climate change in rural Africa. He leads the monitoring and evaluation of projects implemented by Sahel Consulting. His work involves the development of monitoring and evaluation plans, results framework, and data systems. Deji also leads the training of field agents and supports the development of strategic plans for project implementation. He has over 6 years experience in research, program design, monitoring, and evaluation.

Prior to joining Sahel Consulting, Deji worked as a field supervisor with Hanovia Medical Limited where he participated in data collection, monitoring of enumerators, and quality assurance. He holds a Master of Science (MSc.) degree in Agricultural Economics from the University of Ibadan and a bachelor of agricultural technology degree in Agricultural Economics and Extension Services from the Federal University of Technology, Akure.

Deji loves listening to music, watching soccer, and reading autobiographies and African fiction in his spare time.

Fisayo Kayode

Livestock Coordinator

At Sahel, Fisayo develops training contents on improved dairy farming practices and oversees Feed and Fodder, Artificial Insemination, and animal health components of the Advancing Local Dairy Development in Nigeria (ALDDN) program being implemented in Adamawa, Jigawa, Plateau, Kaduna, and Kano states.

Fisayo is resilient, calm, zestful and always an active team player. Fisayo’s daily assignment at Sahel aligns with her core interests and passion, which include sustainable livestock production, hunger eradication, and improvement of livelihoods.

Fisayo previously worked with Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations and in her leisure she is interested` in music, reading, and fashion.

Fisayo holds a B. Agriculture (Animal Science) from Bayero University, Kano, Sustainable Food Production through Livestock Health Management from College of Veterinary Medicine University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, USA (short course), Graduate Animal Scientist (GAS), Nigerian Institute of Animal Science and Milking to Potential from Wageningen University and Research, Netherlands.
