Ndidi Okonkwo Nwuneli (MFR)

Managing Partner

Mrs. Ndidi Okonkwo Nwuneli is an expert on African agriculture and nutrition, philanthropy, and social innovation. She has over 25 years of international development experience and is a recognized serial entrepreneur, author, public speaker, and consultant. Through her work in the private, public, and nonprofit sectors, she has led the design and execution of high-impact initiatives focused on policy, strategy, organizational design, ecosystem solutions, and growth.

Ndidi Nwuneli is the co-founder and Managing Partner of Sahel Consulting Agriculture & Nutrition Ltd., which works across West Africa shaping policy, creating catalytic ventures, and implementing ecosystem solutions. She is also the co-founder of AACE Foods which produces a range of spices, seasonings, and cereals for local and international markets. Ndidi is the founder of LEAP Africa which inspires, empowers, and equips a new cadre of principled, disciplined, and dynamic young leaders in Africa and the chair of Nourishing Africa, a digital knowledge, financing, and data hub which is enabling agribusiness entrepreneurs in 34 African countries to scale.

Ndidi holds an M.B.A. from Harvard Business School and an undergraduate degree with honours from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. She was a Senior Fellow at the Mossavar-Rahmani Center for Business & Government at the Harvard Kennedy School and an Aspen Institute New Voices Fellow.

Ndidi was recognized as a Young Global Leader and Schwab Social Innovator by the World Economic Forum and received a National Honor from the Nigerian Government. Ndidi serves on the boards of the Rockefeller Foundation, GAIN, AGRA, Nigerian Breweries Plc. (Heineken), Godrej Consumer Products Ltd. India, Fairfax Africa Holdings Canada, Royal DSM Sustainability Board, Netherlands, and the African Philanthropy Forum.

Ndidi is the author of “Social Innovation in Africa: A Practical Guide for Scaling Impact,” and “Food Entrepreneurs in Africa: Scaling Resilient Agriculture Businesses” both published by Routledge. She is a TED Global speaker and her work has been featured on CNN, BBC, and a range of international and local media outlets.

Falaq Tidjani

Senior Manager

Falaq currently serves as a Senior Manager at Sahel Consulting, where she manages various projects and is the company’s Strategy and Business Development/Partnerships lead.

Falaq’s projects mainly focus on value chain development, proffering solutions and developing sustainable strategies for ecosystem stakeholders. She has led the design, development, and implementation of high-impact initiatives focused on policies and strategies for businesses, governments and donor organizations that fostered catalytic investments in the food and nutrition landscapes.

She conducts market research, value chain mapping, industry and landscape analyses, and regional trade activities for various organizations including: development organizations such as the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation (BMGF), the Global Alliance for Improved Nutrition (GAIN), International Fertilizer Development Center (IFDC); multinationals such as the Royal DSM; research organizations such as World Vegetable Center and the Wageningen University Research, local private sector players such as Chi and Danone, and a host of other stakeholders.

With her 6 years’ experience, Falaq’s work spans across several African countries including Benin Republic, Burkina Faso, Cote d’Ivoire, Ghana, Niger, Nigeria, and Senegal. Falaq is bi-lingual in English and French.

She is passionate about social and economic sustainability, strengthening the African economic ecosystem and fostering growth through enterprise development and scaling.

She holds a bachelor’s with honors in Business Economics from Anglia Ruskin University, and an MBA from IE Business School (In progress).

Ifeoluwa Olorunnipa

Consultant

Ifeoluwa is a Consultant at Sahel Consulting Agriculture and Nutrition Limited where she is responsible for proposal development and program implementation.

At Sahel, her work has focused on market and industry research and analysis across multiple value chains, business planning for start-up seed companies in Nigeria, strategy development for both public and private sector initiatives, and the provision of tailored advisory services for private sector companies. She also supports the Sahel Corporate Shared Values (CSV) team at Sahel, ensuring the implementation of targeted programs that transform the lives of individuals in communities where Sahel operates.

Ifeoluwa is passionate about international development and prior to Sahel, she worked at multiple international development organizations in the areas of business development, program management, and implementation.

Ifeoluwa holds a Master of Public Affairs (MPA), with concentrations in International Development and Policy Analysis from Indiana University, Bloomington and an undergraduate degree in International Relations from Covenant University, Ota.

Abimbola Scale (ACCA)

Senior Analyst

Abimbola is a Senior Analyst at Sahel Consulting Agriculture and Nutrition Limited where she supports the company’s transformative efforts in the Agricultural landscape through Value Chain Analysis, Strategy Development, and Programme Implementation.

At Sahel, she conducts in-depth strategic research and industry landscape analyses, performs qualitative and quantitative analyses, and develops comprehensive reports on findings. She is currently in a range of seed sector related projects where she provides business development support and program co-ordination services targeted at increasing farmers’ access to affordable and quality-assured seeds in Nigeria.

Prior to joining Sahel, Abimbola worked as a Business Analyst in an international energy conglomerate where she developed strong knowledge in financial planning and analysis, financial modeling, performance management, and business improvement advisory. Through in-depth data analytics and research, she effectively identified gaps in business performance and provided recommendations for improvement.

She graduated with a First-Class Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting from the University of Lagos, Nigeria and is a member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA).

Uyaietieno Okonnah

Analyst

Uyaietieno is an Analyst at Sahel Consulting Agriculture and Nutrition Limited where she supports program implementation and strategic efforts on multiple projects across several value chains in the Food and Agriculture sector in Nigeria.

At Sahel, she conducts strategic research and supervises data collection processes for projects to ensure the availability of qualitative data. She also supports the company’s strategy and business development efforts and contributes to the development of publications on key issues and trends in the agricultural landscape.

She has worked with varied multinational organizations focused on consulting, financial services, and technology.

She graduated with a First-Class Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting and Finance from Ahmadu Bello University Business School, Zaria, Nigeria.

Hajarat Okenla (ACA)

Analyst

Hajarat is an Analyst at Sahel Consulting Agriculture and Nutrition Limited where she is responsible for market research, data collection, data analysis, and project implementation across different value chains in the Agriculture sector of the Nigerian landscape.

Hajarat expresses her passion for the agricultural landscape by conducting strategic research, data gathering, data analysis, and monitoring of data collection process in various agricultural value chains.

Prior to joining Sahel, Hajarat worked with KPMG as part of the Audit team and conducted in-depth research and analysis on the financial service industry.

She graduated with a First-Class Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting from the Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta (FUNAAB). She is also an Associate member of Institute of Chartered Accountant of Nigeria (ICAN).

Omobolaji Etti, ITIL

ICT Associate

Bolaji is an Information, Communication, and Technology (ICT) Expert with over 10 years experience in providing technology solutions in the Agribusiness, Construction, and Financial sectors, and creative agencies. He currently serves as the ICT Associate where he is responsible for ICT Policy Development, Graphic Design, Network Management, Social Media Management, System Troubleshooting, Video Editing, and Website Management.

Prior to joining Sahel, Bolaji worked as an IT support officer with Skylinks Satellite Communications Limited; Digital Marketing Officer with Shixels Studios Limited; Digital Marketing Executive at Worldbay Technologies Limited.

He holds a Bachelors’ degree in Economics from Babcock University and has received certificates in professional courses including Desktop publishing, Network centered computing & Digital web authoring from NIIT; Web design & Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP) on windows from GNT; Network Management from TTC Mobile; ITIL in IT Service Management from Axelos.

He is also a graduate member of the Nigerian Institute of Management (NIM).

Temitope Adegoroye

Partner and Head of the Abuja office

Temitope is a Partner at Sahel Consulting where he is responsible for client engagement, project management and implementation. He is passionate about the agribusiness sector and has worked extensively across a broad range of value chains, with specific expertise on roots and tubers. He is proficient in market analysis, business strategy development, business sustainability, and project management.

Temitope has led several studies on agricultural policies and market entry strategies and implemented consulting projects in a range of priority areas including innovations in seed systems, mechanization, on-farm productivity enhancement and improved market access for agribusiness stakeholders.

Temitope holds an MBA from Lagos Business School, Pan Atlantic University, Nigeria. He also holds a Master of Science (MSc) in Agronomy from the University of Ibadan and received his undergraduate degree in Plant Science from the Obafemi Awolowo University, Ife.

Ayodeji Ojo

Manager, Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning

Deji Ojo is a research and development practitioner with interest in livelihood opportunities, food security, nutrition, and climate change in rural Africa. He leads the monitoring and evaluation of projects implemented by Sahel Consulting. His work involves the development of monitoring and evaluation plans, results framework, and data systems. Deji also leads the training of field agents and supports the development of strategic plans for project implementation. He has over 7 years experience in research, program design, monitoring, and evaluation. Deji has published several journal articles in reputable local and international journals.

Prior to joining Sahel Consulting, Deji worked as a field supervisor with Hanovia Limited where he participated in data collection, monitoring of enumerators, and quality assurance. He holds a Master of Science (MSc.) degree in Agricultural Economics from the University of Ibadan and a Bachelor of Agricultural Technology degree in Agricultural Economics and Extension Services from the Federal University of Technology, Akure. He has previously worked on various projects including the Nigeria Dairy Development Program (NDDP), Agricultural Electrification Project, Impact Evaluation of Subsidy Reinvestment and Empowerment Program (SURE-P), SHUGA Impact Evaluation, Tetanus Toxoid Campaign Coverage Survey among others

Chinedu Agbara, CFA

Manager

Chinedu is a finance and business management expert with over 10 years’ experience in investment banking, business advisory, project financing, and relationship management. He currently serves as a manager at Sahel Consulting where he leads the development and implementation of agriculture projects focused on seed systems, catalyzing inclusive growth, and professionalizing farmer associations and innovative agri-businesses start-ups.

Before joining Sahel, Chinedu worked with agri-businesses and other corporate entities in raising finance from public and private capital markets. He has worked as a relationship manager for a top financial institution where he initiated and participated in successful negotiations with management, union leaders, and diverse stakeholders of private and public organizations. Chinedu has consulted for a family-owned business in Madrid and led sales campaigns that required engaging with multi-stakeholders with different cultural, language, and ethnic backgrounds.

Chinedu holds a Post Graduate degree in Business Management, a Masters’ degree in Advanced Finance from IE Business School, Madrid, and is a Charterholder with Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) Institute in Virginia, USA.

Dr. Hafsat Ali Grema

Productivity Improvement Manager

Dr. Hafsat Grema is a livestock expert and a researcher with over 10 years’ experience in research for sustainable development of the livestock industry. Prior to joining Sahel, Hafsat worked with the Kaduna State Government as part of the Kashim Ibrahim Fellowship. Dr. Hafsat was a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Veterinary Medicine University of Maiduguri, and provided consultancy services to Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nation in Borno State. She was responsible for empowering those who lost their agricultural livelihoods to conflicts. Dr. Hafsat was part of the team responsible for the implementation of the FAO’s aquaculture and livestock development projects in 2018. Hafsat was educated at the University of Maiduguri with Masters in Food Animal Medicine in 2012, and graduated from the University of St. Andrews Scotland with a second Masters in Sustainable Aquaculture. She further graduated with a Ph.D. in Food Animal Systems from Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria in 2018.

In her career as a researcher, Dr. Hafsat has published several papers in reputable academic journals and her core competencies include research, data analysis & visualization; policy analysis; knowledge management; proposal development & donor engagement; and provision of program implementation strategies in agricultural value chain development and market entry strategies. In her spare time, Dr. Hafsat loves to spend time with family and friends, read and learn new skills.

Dr. Hafsat is currently the Program Lead managing the Advancing Local Dairy Development in Nigeria (ALDDN) program implemented by Sahel Consulting Agriculture and Nutrition Limited aimed at transforming the dairy value chain in Nigeria.

Fisayo Kayode

Livestock Coordinator

Fisayo is a trained Animal Scientist who has been working on building sustainable livestock production systems in Africa over the last 5 years. She currently serves as the Livestock Coordinator on the Advancing Local Dairy Development in Nigeria (ALDDN) Program where she supports strategy development and program implementation, leads the training and extension, advocacy, and behavioral change of smallholder dairy farmers, and supports the delivery of animal health and genetic and breeding improvement services. She has previously worked on various projects including the Nigeria Dairy Development Program (NDDP) and Nigeria Poultry Value Chain Study.

She worked with the Food and Agricultural Organization of the United Nations under the Eradicating Avian Influenza in Nigeria Project in 2015.

She holds a Bachelors’ degree in Agriculture (Animal Science) from Bayero University Kano, Nigeria and has completed professional courses including “Sustainable Food Production Through Livestock Health Management” from the College of the Veterinary Medicine University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, USA in 2017, Project Management from HarryBaker Training Institute, Lagos in 2018 and “Milking to Potential” from Wageningen University and Research, The Netherlands in 2019.

Fisayo is a registered member of the Nigerian Institute of Animal Science (NIAS).

Ismael Adeniji

Senior Analyst

Ismael works as a Senior Analyst at Sahel Consulting Agriculture and Nutrition Limited where he supports the organization in its strategic efforts in business and value chain development and program implementation for food and agricultural system-related projects.

At Sahel, he works on the monitoring, evaluation, and learning component of the Advancing Local Dairy Development in Nigeria (ALDDN) program. As part of his work on ALDDN, he coordinates program implementation, conducts field monitoring, stakeholder engagements, and develops standard operating procedures for infrastructure management and other key programmatic activities. He also supports qualitative and quantitative data collection, analyses, and visualization.

Before joining Sahel, Ismael worked with AACE Food Processing and Distribution Limited as an Agri-Food Supply Chain Supervisor where he worked closely with the company’s international development partners to develop and strengthen farmers’ cooperatives, improve farmers productivity, and develop local sourcing supply chain of agri-food commodities across Gombe, Kaduna, Katsina, Ogun, Ondo, Oyo, and Sokoto states.

Ismael graduated with a Bachelor of Agriculture (Honours) Agricultural Extension and Rural Development from the Obafemi Awolowo University, Nigeria, He has also audited a professional course in “Sustainable Food Security” from the Wageningen University and Research, The Netherlands in 2019. He was an active students’ union member at Ife, and passionate about national transformation.

Muhammad Muzzamil Momoh

Analyst

Muhammad is an analyst at Sahel Consulting where he provides support on program implementation, data management and stakeholder engagement for nutrition and several other projects in the nutrition and agricultural sector.

At Sahel, Muhammad currently works as the Nutrition officer on the Advancing Local Dairy Development in Nigeria (ALDDN) program where he implements and manages the nutrition interventions, supports strategy development, and develops Information, education, and communication materials to facilitate dietary and hygiene behavior change for smallholder beneficiaries. He also provides support for the collection, management and analysis of data collected during implementation of several projects.

He has been involved in several works around the nutrition landscape, embarking on infant and young child feeding and nutrition policy related research. Prior to joining Sahel, he worked with the International Food Policy Research Institute as a research assistant supporting data collection, stakeholder interviews and workshops. Muhammad is passionate about contributing to the improvement of nutrition for all, in Nigeria.

He holds a master’s degree in Nutrition from the University of Ibadan, Oyo state, Nigeria.

Anthonia Taiwo-Ajayi

Human Resource Manager

Anthonia Taiwo-Ajayi is the Human Resource Manager at Sahel Consulting. As part of the leadership team that promotes a culture of excellence at Sahel, Anthonia supports project teams to grow the organization by exceeding client expectations. She has about 10 years of experience in strategic planning, performance management, change management, and outsourcing, gleaned from working in FMCG, Telecommunications, Finance, and Consulting. She is accountable for the overall development and implementation of people-focused policies aimed at attracting, recruiting, and retaining high performers into Sahel Consulting.

Prior to joining Sahel Consulting, Anthonia worked as the Head of Human Resources and Consulting department at Jake Riley Limited. She led a team of consultants to review HR operations and policies across public sector led organizations. Her journey in HR has taken her through various roles and assignments from outsourcing, people development, research & development, leadership and team management, regulatory compliance and strategic planning. Anthonia is result-oriented and dependable with a proven track record in the formulation and implementation of effective processes to drive competitive growth.

Anthonia had her first degree from Obafemi Awolowo University and has an MBA in Human Resource Management from the Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria. She is a certified professional in Human Resources-International (PHRi), a PROSCI certified Change Manager, a professional member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel Management Nigeria (CIPMN), and Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM).

Anthonia is currently the Human Resource Manager at Sahel Consulting. As part of the leadership team that promotes a culture of excellence at Sahel, Anthonia supports project teams to grow the organization by exceeding client expectations. She is accountable for the overall development and implementation of people-focused policies aimed at attracting, recruiting, and retaining high performers into Sahel Consulting.

Chijioke Ogbonnaa-Njoku

Accounts and Administrative Officer

Chijioke is a qualified accountant working at Sahel Consulting Agriculture and Nutrition Limited where his work is centered around building effective and transparent financial management and office administration systems. He provides accounting and administrative support and contributes actively to the strategy implementation of a wide range of components of Sahel’s projects.

His core competencies include financial reporting, internal controls, budget management, teamwork, coaching and project management.

Prior to joining Sahel, he has worked in the aviation and Non-Profit Organization management sectors in mid-level management positions, contributing to successes in high impact literacy interventions among public school pupils in Nigeria. He is passionate about global trade, international development, food security, social justice, and poverty eradication.

Chijioke holds a B.A. in Accounting from the University of Essex, is a member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA), and a student member of the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners.

Oluwatobiloba Ejalonibu (ACA)

Account and Administrative Assistant

Oluwatobiloba is a financial professional with a focus on financial reporting, analysis, and interpretation. He currently works as part of the Accounts and Administrative team at Sahel Consulting Agriculture and Nutrition limited where he supports the firm’s aim of transforming Africa’s agriculture landscape through tailored research and strategic consulting through financial reporting, managing, and overseeing administrative activities. He also supports the implementation of the infrastructure and financial inclusion component for the Advancing Local Dairy Development in Nigeria (ALDDN) program.

Prior to Joining Sahel, Oluwatobiloba has worked with few management consulting firms where he developed strong knowledge and skill in taxation, auditing, financial reporting, business advisory and IFRS implementation and adoption.

Oluwatobiloba holds a B.Sc. in Accounting from Osun State University, he has completed an online course in Logistics and Supply Chain Management from Lagos Business School (2020), He is also a certified member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN).
