Enhancing the availability and utilization of quality seeds in Nigeria is a critical question that we aimed to address through an assessment of 23 Nigerian seed entrepreneurs.
Our objectives included raising awareness of seed entrepreneurs’ operational capacities, informing stakeholders on areas for improvement, and promoting collaborations between these entrepreneurs and international seed companies (B2B). The assessment identified both strengths and opportunities for growth, contributing to enhanced performance and competitiveness in the seed sector.
The final section of the report examines obstacles faced by seed entrepreneurs, correlating them with the pertinent strategic innovation pathways of the National Seed Roadmap and identifying targeted interventions to help overcome the recognized barriers.
