Meyakno Ekong

Meyakno is a consultant with 4+ years of experience in strategic planning and implementation for international development. At Sahel Consulting, she serves as a senior analyst, supporting the company’s transformative efforts in the agricultural landscape through value chain analysis, strategy development, and programme implementation. In the Collaborative Seed Programme, she provides business development support and program coordination services targeted at increasing farmers’ access to quality seeds of improved varieties in Nigeria.

Prior to joining Sahel, Meyakno worked to develop Nigeria’s Agricultural Strategy for the AfCFTA, where she managed baseline data gathering, stakeholder engagement, and implementation planning. Meyakno is enthusiastic about policy reform and systemic transformation for the benefit of underserved, vulnerable populations.

She holds a master’s degree in Environmental and Public Health from the University of Salford, Manchester and a bachelor’s degree in Biochemistry from Landmark University in Nigeria.
