Folake Adebote is an agriculture and rural development professional with over eight years of experience spanning supply chain, human resources, project management and qualitative research.
She is a consultant at Sahel Consulting, and her work focuses on institutional capacity strengthening, strategy development and implementation, market and value chain assessments, and policy alignment initiatives at both national and regional levels. She contributes to business development initiatives, preparing proposals that conceptualise innovative solutions and connecting them with development partners and clients with aligned mandates.
She brings additional operational and strategic insight from her previous experience at AACE Foods, a fast-growing food processing firm, where she played a key role in building the human resources function, strengthening compliance systems, and leading women-focused development initiatives, while also supporting supply chain operations and engagement with over 10,000 small-holder farmers across several rural communities.
Folake holds an MSc in Rural Development and Natural Resource Management from the Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences, Uppsala, Sweden, and a Bachelor’s degree in Agricultural Extension and Rural Sociology from Obafemi Awolowo University, Osun, Nigeria. She is passionate about the intersection of culture, policy, and development practice, and how this shapes long-term impact.
