The National Seed Road Map outlines a vision to make the Nigerian seed sector competitive, resilient, profitable, innovative, adaptive, inclusive, resistant, and transparent. The roadmap identifies 22 Strategic Innovation Pathways (SIPs) to achieve this vision. The Collaborative Seed Programme conducted a study that maps direct and indirect seed sector investments by key donors and development partners and tracks these interventions against the Strategic Innovative Pathways of the NSRM. The study identifies gaps and areas of overlapping interventions which present opportunities for targeted investment and alignments by partners to ensure the achievement of the vision of the NSRM. The assessment and mapping makes the case for better coordination within the sector to power the sector’s growth and achieve the vision of the NSRM.
