The Nigeria for Women Project (NFWP) is a transformative initiative empowering women across six states: Abia, Akwa Ibom, Kebbi, Ogun, Niger, and Taraba. The project improves individual and collective livelihoods through a multi-dimensional approach that addresses institutional and market constraints affecting women’s economic opportunities. By fostering sustainable livelihoods and promoting gender inclusivity, NFWP demonstrates the effectiveness of medium- to long-term strategies in overcoming systemic barriers to women’s economic advancement.
COMPONENTS
OUR ROLE
We served as a key implementing partner in the NFWP, delivering community-driven and gender-sensitive solutions. We conducted in-depth gendered market analysis, developed and piloted innovative livelihood interventions, and built capacity within Project Coordination Units. We also supported the formation and growth of women’s livelihood collectives and provided ongoing technical assistance, helping foster resilience and sustainable economic growth across the six focus states.
