The True Potato Seed (HTPS) Revolution for Food Security and Income in Nigeria tackles declining potato productivity caused by weak or disease-affected planting materials. The project introduces Hybrid True Potato Seed (HTPS) to complement existing practices, giving farmers access to healthier seeds for stronger crops and higher yields.
Through hands-on training in Farmers Field Schools and demonstration farms, farmers learn practical techniques for raising HTPS seedlings, managing crops, and controlling diseases, helping them improve productivity, reduce losses, and increase income.

OUR ROLE
We serve as the Coordination Unit and implementing partner for the HTPS project, overseeing overall project management and ensuring seamless collaboration among stakeholders. We facilitate the delivery of training through Farmers Field Schools, support demonstration farms, and provide ongoing guidance to farmers to apply improved practices confidently and effectively.
