Sustainable Entrepreneurship-Led Poultry Transformation Program (SEPTP)

The Sustainable Entrepreneurship-Led Poultry Transformation Program (SEPTP) is a robust five-year initiative (2025–2030). The program is designed to reach 245,560 financially disadvantaged young people aged 18–35 and unlock dignified work opportunities for 220,780 participants, including 80% young women, 5% persons with disabilities, and 1% refugees or displaced persons, across the poultry value chain in Nigeria.

The program’s vision is to alleviate poverty and promote economic development by supporting smallholder poultry farmers and micro- and small enterprise owners in rural and semi-urban areas across six target states: Adamawa, Kano, Plateau, Ogun, Enugu, and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).

COMPONENTS

OUR ROLE

We are leading two components: Skills and Entrepreneurship Development, and Policy and Institutional Strengthening. We will drive the delivery of entrepreneurship training across program states, equipping participants with both technical and business skills to establish and run successful poultry enterprises.

Also, we are leading the design and implementation of policies and institutional support mechanisms that address critical challenges in the poultry value chain, fostering inclusive, resilient, and sustainable businesses.
