Temi Adegoroye is a business leader and agribusiness expert with over 14 years of experience supporting key actors across Africa’s agriculture and food ecosystem to build resilient business models and achieve food system sustainability. He is the Managing Partner at Sahel Consulting Agriculture & Nutrition Limited, a management consulting firm focused on transforming the African agriculture and nutrition landscape. His deep-seated passion and commendable professional trajectory have earned him a reputation as a seasoned strategist, management consultant, and astute project manager, expertly guiding the company through the complex terrains of client engagement, project execution, and overall strategic direction.
Temi also serves as the Executive Chair and a Board Member of the African Food Changemakers Institute Limited/GTE (AFC), a non-profit and membership organization committed to enabling African entrepreneurs to build and scale successful, resilient, and sustainable agribusinesses that nourish Africa and the world. In this role, he provides strategic oversight to guide the organization’s mission, vision, and long-term goals; strengthens relationships with members, donors, and external partners through stakeholder engagement; and ensures financial sustainability through fundraising leadership and sound resource allocation. He also plays a critical role in enterprise risk management, identifying challenges and ensuring compliance with regulatory and ethical standards.

Temi is passionate about agriculture and has worked extensively across Africa’s food systems, covering a broad range of value chains. He possesses deep knowledge of agricultural markets and has collaborated with a wide array of partners and clients through numerous strategic consulting and development projects. His work focuses on addressing the complex challenges surrounding food production, distribution, and affordability, while implementing ecosystem-level solutions that enhance smallholder farmers’ livelihoods, promote gender and social inclusion, and build food systems resilience. He is proficient in stakeholder engagement, project management, and the development and operationalization of innovative strategies that address multifaceted business challenges. Temi has led the implementation of impactful solutions in key thematic areas of agriculture, including strengthening seed systems, livestock and dairy sector development, and productivity improvement.
With a passion for creating lasting impact, Temi continues to collaborate with government institutions and development partners to shape policies that contribute to the long-term sustainability of food systems in Africa. He continues to provide strategic implementation support to food systems policies and initiatives through innovative programs with the ECOWAS Commission and national governments. As a dynamic speaker, he is recognized for his expertise in dissecting food systems issues and has engaged in thought-provoking conversations on global stages.
Temi holds a Master of Science (MSc) in Agronomy from the University of Ibadan, Nigeria, and a bachelor’s degree in Plant Science from Obafemi Awolowo University, Nigeria. He also holds an MBA from the Lagos Business School. He is an IMAGINE Leader, part of a global community committed to driving systemic change through transformational leadership. He is an alumnus of the Centre for African Leaders in Agriculture (CALA), which supports sector leaders in delivering on national agricultural and nutrition priorities. He has completed executive leadership programs at several global institutions, including IESE Business School and the Harvard Kennedy School.
