At Sahel, Jonathan plays a key role in the Gates Foundation-funded Advancing Local Dairy Development in Nigeria (ALDDN) program, providing strategic and technical leadership for nutrition interventions. He leads the development of innovative behavior change strategies that empower smallholder farming households, fostering long-term improvements in food security and economic resilience.
With a career spanning advisory and technical roles on significant projects funded by the European Union (EU), CDC/PEPFAR, Nigeria Humanitarian Fund (NHF), and the World Food Programme (WFP), Jonathan has built a wealth of expertise in implementing large-scale initiatives that uplift vulnerable communities. His ability to develop holistic, evidence-based solutions has contributed to meaningful social and economic change across Nigeria.
Jonathan holds a bachelor’s degree from Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, a master’s in development studies from Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University, Bauchi, and a master’s in public health (MSc) from the National Open University of Nigeria. He has further honed his expertise through professional certifications from globally recognized institutions, including the Wageningen Centre for Development Innovation (WCDI), UNICEF, OXFAM, IFRC, British Council, Global Health USA, Breakthrough ACTION, and USAID Advancing Nutrition.
