The Waste to fees Project is an ongoing initiative of the Sahel CSV in collaboration with FlexiSAF Foundation to enroll out-of-school children into formal schools. The team has identified 20 underserved children from rural communities within Abuja and enrolled them into Kado Bimko LEA, a neighbouring primary school. The selected beneficiaries were put through an assessment to ascertain the appropriate classes they fit into, and they were provided with stationaries and uniforms. While this programme lasts through the year (2023), the parents of the kids will be engaged to take up environment-sensitive projects such as recycling of plastics as a means for generating funds for the tuition of their children.
