Mezuo & Ndidi Nwuneli, driven by their passion to transform the African Continent, recognized that unlocking the potential of the agriculture and nutrition sector would be catalytic in addressing food security, malnutrition, unemployment and driving economic growth and prosperity for families, communities and the region.

In 2010, they established Sahel Capital Partners and Advisory Limited to provide advisory and consulting services to public, private and nonprofit clients across West Africa. This company partnered with a range of local and international organizations to execute high-impact projects in Benin, Burkina Faso, Ghana, Liberia, Mali, Niger, Nigeria, Senegal and Togo.

In 2013, Sahel Capital was selected to act as the fund manager for the Fund for Agricultural Finance in Nigeria (“FAFIN”). The fund sponsors of FAFIN include the Nigerian government via the Federal Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, the German government via KfW Development Bank, CDC, African Development Bank (AfDB), Dutch Good Growth Fund (DGGF) and the Nigeria Sovereign Investment Authority.

In late 2016, Sahel Capital separated its management consulting and private equity businesses, and Sahel Capital Agribusiness Managers Ltd. was established.

In February 2018, Sahel Capital Partners & Advisory Limited changed its name to Sahel Consulting Agriculture and Nutrition Limited to fully embrace its mandate as a consulting company, and its focus on the agriculture and nutrition landscapes.

Sahel Consulting is proud of its roots and is excited about the future, as it expands its footprint beyond West Africa to the entire Continent, and continues to partner with local and international partners to transform the landscape.
