Saidu Abubakar is a Senior Program Officer working on the Advancing Local Dairy Development Project in Nigeria, where he leads stakeholder management at the state level. His responsibilities span training and communication for behavior change, infrastructure development, nutrition, and farmers’ organization components of the project, ensuring a holistic approach to local dairy development.
Before joining Sahel Consulting, Saidu was actively involved in evaluating multi-sectoral intervention programs across Nigeria. His professional experience includes the design and delivery of nutrition and livelihood projects, as well as supporting health systems strengthening initiatives, particularly in maternal and child health and behavior change communication.
He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Geography, and has earned two Master’s degrees one in Information Management and another in Climate Change, Economic Policy, and Innovation all from Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria. He is also a trained Remote Sensing and Geographic Information System (GIS) analyst and an alumnus of the Oxford Climate Society, reflecting his strong commitment to sustainable development and climate action.
