Adekunle works as a Program Analyst at Sahel Consulting where he provides support on program implementation, strategy development, data management and stakeholder engagement.
He currently works as an Animal Health Expert on the Advancing Local Dairy Development in Nigeria (ALDDN) Program where he leads the implementation of the animal health component and provides support for artificial insemination, training extension, advocacy and behavioural change. He develops training contents and implementation strategies for animal health activities for smallholder dairy farmers. He engages implementation partners and other services providers to provide clinical services, address disease outbreaks and genetic improvements to increase productivity of smallholder dairy farmers.
Prior to joining Sahel, He worked with GIZ on the Competitive African Rice Initiative Program to he provided business advisory support towards rice value chain development.
Adekunle has also provided consultancy services for several livestock and crop farms. He is well versed in ruminant management and vegetable production. He is passionate about capacity development for smallholder farmers.
He holds a bachelor’s degree in Agriculture (Animal physiology) from the Federal University of Agriculture Abeokuta and a National Diploma from the Federal College of Animal Health and Production Technology, Moor Plantation, Ibadan. He also completed a professional course in project management from Philanthropy University.
